There are a few items that I reuse to help save money. And then there are items I use in creative was so as to not waste them. I reuse plastic bags from the grocery store as trash bags in bedrooms bathrooms and even my car. That way I am saving money by not buying extra trash bags. I also use them to take items in for donation when we do are Spring and Fall cleaning. I reuse plastic freeze bags by washing them out and saving. And those extra napkins you get through the drive thru go straight into the glove box of my car instead of buying tissues for the car. As well as saving that empty box and junk mail to use as fire starter in my wood burner every winter. Reuse those empty toilet paper rolls to shorten you extension cords or the twist ties from you loaf of bread. Use those shirts with holes in them as rags for your house or garage. Use those paper bags to hold your recyclables.
When you buy lunch meat use the plastic container as storage or for left overs or snack holder. That way you don't have to buy containers. Ask the store when clothes shopping if you can keep the hangers and then you will not need to purchase hangers. Save empty shoe boxes for storage. Save and reuse those gift bags from the holidays for next year. You can even save broken crayons and then melt them together and have new color combination crayons. Take spaghetti or pasta jars and use them as vases or storage for pencils and pens.Got left over chicken make chicken soup. Soft apples make apple pie or apple crisp instead of tossing those apples. Same for bananas make banana bread. For soft tomatoes make sauce or marinara. Dry bread or bread heals make stuffing. Tin cans make a Luminary candle holder or pencil holder. Just use your imagination. Happy Saving.
